I'll be blunt and state my main concerns over my child's health. I have raised these with a GP previously but have been brushed off as panicking or told he will grow out of it. Today his pre school have raised the same with me.
Symptoms:
Excessive thirst
Excessive hunger
Sweats terrible - you would think every time was the first time he had been physically active.
Increased urination.
Face is bright red after playing/ activity.
Coordination and motor skills aren't where they should be.
Hyperactive

These are not new onset symptoms they have been present over 2 years.
I'm sure there are more bit I'm trying to get this down and out there. I'm not asking for a diagnosis just any suggestions. I'm making a gp apt tomorrow and want to go clued up.
I have booked an eye test for Thursday.

My thinking sends me straight to diabetes, thyroid or worse.

The thirst and urination would be signs of diabetes if they were new symptoms but if they have been going on for a long time then it clearly isn't diabetes or you'd know about it. You don't have type 1 diabetes undiagnosed for 2 years.

He might have a twitchy bladder, my ds couldn't hold a drink in, especially if it was blackcurrent or red in colour.

The red face and sweating is normal for some kids as is being a bit uncoordinated.

UTI?

Thanks for your responses.
I want diabetes ruled out as I am aware it can take time to surface fully in some case. As in type 1 diabetics often go through a "honeymoon" phase where there body's can make some/minimal insulin and from there stores.
The urination is linked to the drinking- I swear pees water.
He had a very good diet, and would gladly sit with a plate of salad for tea daily if I would allow him. He certainly does enjoy a treat too but over all I'm ot concerned about what he does it more so the lack of it.
Sweating- this is very visible very quickly and is certainly excessive for a child.
