Is this scalp psoriasis (picture included)

At first I thought my daughter had cradle cap, but she's 6 now, and she still has this. It's not flaky, and they are attached to the scalp unless they are picked off (🤢). I had scalp psoriasis as a kid, it healed up, and I didn't think any more of it, but I have for decades had 'head flakes' stuck on my own head, which flare up hormonally and with stress, and I've suddenly realised maybe that's the scalp psoriasis after all, and wondering if she has the same.

It could have immune system implications for her I might need to get it checked out properly at some stage.

My daughters had this for years - definitely older than 6. It's just cradle cap/dandruff. A good antifungal shampoo sorted ours out.

My 5 year old has this too - I'm pretty sure it's cradle cap too. I have psoriasis too and it doesn't look the same.

It's cradle cap

The yellowy scales suggest cradle cap (sebhorriac dermatitis) rather than the silvery scales of psoriasis.

Two of my sons have had this along with atopic dermatitis from babyhood into young adulthood.

We have spent a small fortune on rotating different shampoos to try and help it.

Pharmacist might be able to have a look and make a more expert assessment.

Thanks. The bits I pick off me (sorry) are silvery white, so we might have different things potentially, and hers is cradle cap after all.

I use cradle cap shampoo sometimes and also massage coconut oil in and leave it over night. That sorts it for a while, as does any kind of major head/scalp trauma (not that I want to repeat that, just what I've noticed).

it could be seborrheic dermatitis, or still cradle cap. Usually anti dandruff shampoo should help.
