Chickenpox?

Daughter is nearly 3, has had a fever since 11pm last night, comes down with calpol but back up when wears off.

Drinking and eating as normal, seems herself but some spots have appeared across her upper back… it’s been about 8hrs and no more have appeared.

Could chickenpox start like this? NHS online says spots first then unwell, also rapid spots appearing.

thanks all x

Could be, you'll soon know if its chickenpox there will be more. If she's had a vaccine there will be fewer spots

They also start off like little blisters

It's going round like crazy here, my 5yo is just coming to the end of it. He had a cough and runny nose for a few days before spots started appearing. I expected them to multiply much more quickly than they did, so I thought he had a fairly mild case but I was wrong. There have been 8 kids off with it from his class this week!

oh really? She seemed absolutely fine but we have been on holiday this past week so she’s shattered, then the fever hit and then the spots.
they just haven’t spread as quickly as I would have expected them too, well, not at all! Just a burst of them across her back

They come in bursts over a few days usually.

Thank you! This is why I thought I’d ask as everything on the nhs website says it’s within a day or so but so many people have different experiences.
