Has anyone taken their baby to see an osteopath and can share their experience?

All of mine saw an osteopath after birth. I think it was helpful for one. neutral for the rest. I don't know if it did anything for them or not.

It was helpful for my baby who was born v quickly and had some shoulder tightness. It helped a little with her comfort while laying down, but it didn’t solve her silent reflux at all. It was neutral for my other baby. I recommend it as worth a go though, I found the practitioners very skilled and explained everything throughout.

Same with shoulder tightness, nothing for the silent reflux

ah it was for silent reflux that I was wanting to try it! The back arching has been terrible and he seems so tense a lot of the time. He is on medication but wondered if an osteopath may help too

If you can afford it, it might be worth a go. I went for reflux and it was where I found out re shoulder tightness. It did help but not enough to be life changing!

It does get better….. upright as much as possible in the sling/carrier all day, rest after feeds, and time. Good luck xx

I used one for my daughter it was really interesting what they can tell about your baby from the session so it was worth it for just that. She straightened my daughter’s nose that I don’t know had been bashed during birth. She also released tightness. Mine still had reflux but didn’t seem uncomfortable and slept a lot better than my elder child.

Rather than anecdotes, proper research shows it doesn't work.
