Toddler Waking Up with Sweaty Head

I'm probably over-worrying here but my toddler has woken up the past few days after his nap with a sweaty head...

I'm dreadful for health anxiety so I assume the worst but is it normal?

I've been checking his body and he doesn't appear to be having full body sweats, literally just his head/hair and side of his face where he's been lying. He's not drenched on his head either, just a bit sweaty.

I'm assuming possibly where the temperature is starting to warm up a little and I've had his windows closed during naps he might be over heating a tad?

Completely normal.

This happened to mine too for ages. It is normal but when you're bombarded with safe sleep information from the moment they're born it can be frightening. Can you try removing a blanket etc during the nap?

I often wake up too covered in sweat so I think in our case we're just sweaty sleepers. Toddler sleep is quite different to baby sleep!

Completely normal in my experience of 2 kids! My eldest is 6 and if sleeping very deeply he will often get a sweaty head. He is not hot to touch though.

My DS always had a sweaty head on waking. We had to make sure he was only lying on 100% cotton pillowcases with 100% cotton bedding. Cotton mix were awful for him.

Thanks all 💜

Sounds like it's just a toddler thing, he does tend to sleep quite heavily once he's dozed off, bless him.

And yes, all these sleep guidelines do put you a little on edge at times!

Both my DC have thick hair and regularly get sweaty heads at night. Agree with pp, pure cotton does seem to help.
