Frequency of sickness

This is a really just a vent, but also if someone is out the other side it would be great to hear!

My DC are 6 and 3. I feel like we're past the horrific nursery/preschool constant sickness now but there still seems to be something every month. Both were covid babies and we were really careful so when restrictions did lift the poor pets caught absolutely everything going. 3 day fevers, coughs, sore throats, tummy bugs. I feel like they're both more robust now in general and don't get as sick with things, very rarely miss a day of school.

I know I'm overthinking, they've both only had antibiotics 5 times in their lives. I'm just tired and moany on the back of an out of hours doctor run for an ear infection for the 3 year old last night 😬 which I also feel bad I missed as she told me it hurt and I thought she was just tired 😐

If anyone is out the other side, when does it turn to only having bugs once or twice a year? I never remember missing much school or being sick when I was young.

I think with their ages you are still a bit in the thick of it. Mine are 11 and 9 now and bugs are definitely less often and got over faster.

Thanks @Bobbybobbins. I know so many kids who have been hospitalised this flu season and half my kids classes have missed so much school with sickness. So I really shouldn't even be complaining!!! Thank God we've had nothing majorly long lasting or nasty and I do notice the 6 year old seems to be after getting particularly robust. It's just hard to see that when you're in the thick of it! Glad to know there's light at the end of the tunnel!!!!
