Would you get a second opinion?

My granddaughter, aged 4 years, had an accident at nursery last week culminating in her face planting on some decking. Result is that now she has two wobbly front teeth ( one much worse than the other).
She has seen the family dentist who said there’s nothing to be done. Would you get a second opinion with say, a paediatric dentist? We were hoping there may be some way of salvaging them, but maybe not? As she already has issues with speech delay, we don’t want this to lessen her progress. She was doing so well, and starts school next year and I worry about bullying if she has front teeth missing . It obviously could be years before the adult teeth come through. It’s also affecting her ability to eat some foods (corn on the cob for example).
Any professionals on here, or mumsnetters who’ve experienced similar? Many thanks.

I’m afraid if the teeth are loose there is not anything you can do . If they are too loose or become painful , or start an abcess they will need to come out.

On the plus side her adult teeth might come through a bit quicker .

It’s a very common accident and many children lose front teeth for this reason.

Nothing can be done, my little girl smacked her face Ona bench at school once and the top of her gums were really cut. So went to the dentist as was concerned about teeth and he said that they seemed ok weren’t wobbly but even if they were nothing they can do. I was concerned about her adult teeth cos it was a big impact on her gums that I thought they could be damaged but again he said literally nothing could be done even if they are damaged until they come through and then we can see. This was over 18 months ago she is 5 and half not last any teeth yet so still no idea if any damage done but I’m less worried now cos I think her teeth would have become loose by now if there was major trauma to her gums.
