Sleep regression or silent reflux?

My 5 mo DD's sleep has massively regressed over the last two weeks. She fights every nap, and wakes up as soon as she's put down and is waking every 2/3 hours after midnight.

She goes down fine at 7 until 12 and wakes crying, the only thing that settles her is when she's picked up and will fall asleep on you or failing that, settles after a small feed. Until recently she was only waking around 3am for a feed but is feeding more at night.

She's always been a refluxy baby since birth and difficult to burb and FF. She's also very gassy at night. Could she be having silent reflux at night which is waking her up as she usually settles when picked up. She's always been a good drinker and her appetite isn't affected.

Or is it just a sleep regression?

TIA!

I don't think reflux would peak like that at this age. It's most likely a regression. Has she learned any new skills recently?

Reflux peaks around 4 months but with my daughter there was a very clear trajectory of her getting worse and worse from about 10 weeks onwards. By 4.5 months she was utterly unbearable and was unsettled continuously
It could be a combination of the regression and the reflux. You say she's a good drinker, is she worse after a good feed? Comfort feeding is a symptom of silent reflux feeding soothes the pain from reflux but in turn causes more reflux making them want to feed again. It might be worth reducing the amount in the feed before bed to see if that helps and being careful about how much milk is given overnight. During one reflux flare up at about 13 months my daughter drank 20-25oz one night and was utterly desperate for more like we hadn't fed her all night. It was only the next day that the penny dropped that it was probably comfort feeding and her reflux was back. If we listened carefully we could hear her bringing a feed back up and swallowing it again

For my daughter the way her sleep was disrupted was different depending on whether it was reflux, allergies (cmpa plus others) or developmental. When it was reflux she was only happy when lay across me in a fairly upright position. When it was allergies she want to be in contact with as much as me as possible and held tightly. When it was developmental she want to know I was there but once a sleep could be moved away which was absolutely not possible for with reflux and allergies.
