DD 14 has about 4 teeth growing behind her baby teeth. 1 of them is wobbly but isn’t falling out, the others aren’t wobbly at all. She had this with a tooth when she was about 7or 8 and the tooth had to be pulled out - there was no anaesthetic just a lot of twisting and tugging which was very traumatic and as a result now she finds visiting the dentist quite distressing. We’re now with a different dentist having moved house but this one has zero empathy - we have an appointment today and we’re worried she’s going to want to pull the wobbly one out. Can we request that she is referred to a hospital and have them all removed at once under anaesthetic? Has anyone been in a similar position? We’ve always been with NHS dentists. Would we be better going private? We just don’t want her to be further traumatised so that visiting the dentist becomes a massive issue.
