Green mucus in poop - new mum worries?

Hello, I am a first time mum to my baby girl who is now 8 1/2 weeks old. I developed post-natal OCD several weeks ago and worry about her health all the time, even when I know the answer.
She had her vaccinations on Tuesday including Rotavirus, and aside from being a bit irritable on the day she has been fine. Then today she had a fair sized amount (I'd say about the circumference of a plum) of grass-green stringy poo. Immediately I panicked, but it seems from looking online that it can be common up to a week after the rotavirus vaccination, but my brain is not my ally sometimes and I worry there is something I've done wrong that has meant she has become unwell. I'm almost definitely overthinking, but I wondered what other more experienced mums thought?

It's fine OP. You haven't done anything. Poos and their changes can be fastenating when you look at them every day.
Are you getting some help for your OCD? It must be tortuous for you.

The doctor/nurse should have explained their nappies can be a bit off after the rotavirus vaccination. It's a live virus and you should also ensure you're washing your hands particularly well afterwards.

Thanks, yeah I am getting some therapy through the maternity department, it's been really horrible, just constantly scared for her health, especially around the risks of SIDS, I don't cope well with things outside my control. I even freaked out when knitting today because I had two different brands of knitting needle and somehow convinced myself that if I didn't find the other pair of the same brand that something bad may happen to my baby. Luckily my husband was very calming and distracted me from the spiral.

They did mention about making sure immunosuppressed relatives etc don't change her due to it being live, but they didn't say it could give her a poorly tummy etc, so it was very unexpected!

All mucus no pooh.

My 5 month year old has had some gastrointestinal issues since 3 months old. He is mostly breastfed with an occasional dreamfeed of formula. 1.When he was born he passed mustard yellow pooh several days a week. 2. At 3 months that slowed to just 1 poop a day and poop became more runny .3. At 4 and a half he started diarrhea which is on going. He started with loose yellow poohs that became more mucusy over time, now for 5 days he only passes mucus dark green or yellow in colour. Sometimes tainted with tiny specks of blood.

We have been to A&E and GP a few times now. They tested for bacterial infections but as the baby looks happy and engaged they were not concerned. They did eventually prescribe us pepti-1 aptamil hydrolyzed formula and I went on elimination diet with no soy, eggs, wheat or dairy for a week now. Since the poop became even more mucusy and acquired quite substantial bloody specks.

Needless to say I am concerned and not sure what to do. We have an appointment with paediatrician in two months, but I am very concerned in the meantime as the baby weight gain has slightly slowed.

Any insight, past experience, advice are much appreciated.

Apologies, I meant it as a separate post. Accidentally posted in a comment 😅.

I was not able to delete my original comment but reported it to Mumsnet.

Thats ok! Glad I'm not the only mum freaking out over poop! Just on a sidenote has your little one been tested for coeliac? I had lots of digestive issues as a baby and when I was 18 months I was diagnosed with it. Might be worth speaking to your GP?

likely rotavirus vaccine, tummy/poo issues can last for 2 weeks after vaccination. So see if it clears up over the next few days, she’ll get another one @ 12 weeks too so be aware of that and let the vaccinating nurse know how she was with first dose. Hopefully that’s all it is but if you’re concerned see your gp
