Daughter being sick randomly

Wondering if anyone has similar experiences or any nurse or doctors here that can advise.

My 2 year old daughter was sick on tuesday morning, threw up some cows milk about 30 mins after drinking it, seemed fine and no signs of a bug. On Wednesday afternoon the same thing happened. In the early hours of this morning it happened again, hadn't had milk this time. Has been fine in between these sick episodes, no diarrhoea or fever. I have noticed she puts her fingers in her mouth on her tongue and goes "eurgh" almost like its reflux/sicking up a little, she has been doing this for a month or two. Any advice appreciated.

Have you looked at her throat and back teeth?
Does she drink a lot of milk? It can cause reflux. Also, make sure she isn’t tumbling around after drinking as that can cause reflux in some. When I was a kid I was forever doing headstands, and if I’d had a drink I would bring up acid into my throat.

Children are sick much more often and easily than adults. It could be nervousness, excitement, eating too much/too quickly, mucus, cough, virus, food intolerance, gastric headache.

If it doesn't clear up or gets worse I would speak to a GP. The NHS page gives an idea of when you need advice of different levels:

My DD had a few episodes around the same age - she would be sick in the night, silent, wouldn't wake up. I'd go get her in the morning and she'd have slept in it 😔 it was awful and very scary because I was so worried about her choking on it, nevermind the mess. I took her to the doctor who said it was not unusual for children to vomit even if they are not sick, it's because of their immature digestive system. He also said that people don't choke on their vomit . The only reason they might is if they're drunk/unconscious. A sleeping child wouldn't. It never happened again after we saw the doctor.

Hope your DD is ok.
