14 month old vomiting at night

Tonight and last night she has been vomitting mainly at night, after dream feeding. She hasn’t eaten anything during the day, just some milk. She had a small amount of vomit twice during the day and diarrhoea but didn’t seem particularly unwell. She was dancing and playing and alert. Is this just a matter of wait and see? We have gaviscon and an electrolyte drink but she won’t take either while awake. Going to try and give it her instead of her next milk feed… had to change the bed a few times and running out of towels at this point.

Before this week she’d never really vomited, only spat up a bit.

how long do these things take to get out of their system and any tips or tricks for making it more comfortable for her/less messy for us?

Bumping for you. Hope your DC feels better. X

Is she breastfed or formula fed?

I would try and pace that feed a bit more. Less milk in one go if that’s the only one that’s coming back up.

I wouldn’t expect the vomiting to go on for much longer though. A day or 2 max. Runny poos can take a bit longer.

No tips really. Maybe sleep in their room? It gets much easier once they’re older and can aim.

Thanks for replying x she’s breastfed, we bedshare so we’re doing that but we spent some of the night in the living room watching her through the monitor. Yes I bet everything gets easier, also with language!
