5yo had flu vaccine, can my 6mo catch it at all?

I know there is a small amount of live virus with a flu shot, my DD has just had chicken pox and totally forgot my son was due his flu vaccine today…

Now wondering if she is vulnerable to catch the flu when my DS ‘sheds’ it.

Feel like I’m on constant tender hooks with damn illness this season and keeping my 6mo away from all the big stuff as much as possible… So far we have managed bar chicken pox.

Any experiences here?

Presume you are talking about the nasal vaccine?
Technically yes. But it’s unlikely so just do what you can such as keeping him from getting too close such as kissing baby.
If it’s the needle jab then no.

Thank you @benefitstaxcredithelp
Why would there be a difference in injection to nasal?
Yes, meaning the child’s nasal vaccine :)

Because nasal spray contains a small amount of live flu virus, whereas the injection does not @LynAsh

My 7 month old had the injection as they can’t have the nasal one until age 2 but is he is vulnerable enough to be eligible for a flu vaccine at 7 months. At the same appointment my 3 year old was given the nasal vaccine and I asked this question, the nurse said it wouldn’t be an issue.
