Baby hip dysplasia

Hi , I am awake still fuming about this and I'm hoping for reassurance. My dd is 15 months and was treated for hip dysplasia as a baby with the pavlik harness. Following on from this she went on to a splint at night time up until age 1 as her hips were still shallow in the sockets.

Today I got home early from work while dh was looking after her. My sil was visiting and she was holding my baby by the feet dangling her in the air !! I absolutely could not believe it and she stopped as soon as she saw me. Now I've messaged her since asking not to do this again as it is batshit in my eyes to do this to a child in general never mind a baby who has hip dysplasia. I certainly don't want to jeopardise the hard work that was done with the harnesses. Tbh it was heartbreaking at times putting her in the harnesses as she was so unsettled but we kept going. Now I feel like she may have damaged her hips and f*ed everything up. I cannot believe her stupidity and dh for not calling her out. I know that if I was there she wouldn't have done it.
Can anyone reassure me? I just feel like the weight on her hips could have sent us back and I'm so upset at her stupidity and ignorance. For the record I suspect sil has undiagnosed adhd. We have been advised against using jumperoos or similar because they are not good for hips. I feel that this is worse than a jumperoo. Should I make an appointment to check for any damage?

Honestly, she will be fine. The reason the treatment takes so long is that the soft bones are being gradually shaped in to socket joints. If she's been given the ok to stop the harness hers must now be pretty good. The bone will not suddenly ping back after one incident like this.

Both my children were treated for hip dysplasia, with Pavlik and rhino
Brace. They routinely hang off monkey bars by their legs, do crazy gymnastics and trampolining and maintain excellent hips at each check up.

Thank you so much for the reassurance! This isn't even my first baby with dysplasia, she's my third to have it but my boys were only in the pavlik harness. I suppose because she hasn't been given the all clear yet thats why Im so worried, I just dont want anything setting her back. And I suppose other people's actions are out of my control when I'm not there with her. She'll be getting a scan again at 2 so hopefully all will be OK.
