Can anyone interpret my child’s blood results? Photo attached

My child got bloods done as she is experiencing some digestive issues.

When I called to get the results I was told all bloods are fine. I asked for a copy of the results and have received this. It shows 2 separate counts are out of normal range.

Has anyone heard of these or have any ideas? I’ve tried googling but I’m not very medical!

I’ll be phoning the doctors tomorrow to ask but was just incase someone here knew to settle me!

Both of the results outside of the range are marginally outside.

The eosinophil count could be a bit lower due to an acute infection brewing (such as a cold), or something she’s fighting/has recently fought off, which has caused no symptoms.

When we have an infection, the body sends WBC to fight it, which causes a temporary drop in those cells in the blood.

Reticulocytes being low can suggest anaemia. But I see her haemaglobin is sitting nicely at the upper end of the normal range.

I strongly suspect if they were to repeat these bloods in three months, both would be normal. Nothing concerning at all here, given what you’ve said.

My DD has had low eosonophils on two separate readings 3 months apart. GP and paeds didn't bat an eyelid- just said to bring her back if symptoms worsened
