Is this slappped cheek?

Can’t get a GP appointment (surprise surprise) and alone with multiple kids so would prefer not to spend 5 hours at UTC or A&E. Can anyone tell me if this looks like slapped cheek? Came on really suddenly to both sides of DC’s (age 5) face about an hour ago. Tells me it’s a bit sore. Eating and drinking normally, but has had a runny tummy for the past few days and is complaining of a sore throat. Would really appreciate input!

Take to pharmacy for an opinion if not GP.

Slapped cheek isn't usually sore

Can you get to a pharmacy? They should be able to help diagnose.

Thank you - I have managed to get a telephone consultation with GP, so will hopefully get some answers one way or another!

My little boys looked exactly like this when he had slapped cheek, he had a GP appt for another issue and the locum doc was convinced it was scarlet fever and prescribed antibiotics. He’d had scarlet fever 4 months ago and it was completely different but he just wasn’t listening and just told me they are the same thing. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The pharmacist confirmed slapped cheek when we went to get a prescription. It spreads very fast, within hours her was covered in a lacy rash and took well over a week to clear. He was absolutely fine in himself though but very itchy! Piriton helped a lot.
