Weight loss- when to worry?

My 8year old DD weighs less than she did in August and hasn’t put on any weight since then. She had a rubbish runny tummy after food poisoning for 2 weeks in September which I’m guessing might account for some of it, but I’d hoped she’d have put some back on 🤷‍♀️she’s eating well again tho still has tummy pains on and off (gp not worried at all about this) so I was a bit worried to find tonight she’s only at 23kg which is a little bit less than at the start of August. She’s dropped a centile from 25th to 9th and I literally couldn’t be offering her any any higher calorie foods, for reference her twin who she’s always been a bit heavier than now weighs 24kg so a 1kg more.
Because she had so many tests with this ongoing tummy above that were all normal (normal bloods etc) I don’t think any other investigations would be done again only 2-3 weeks on from that.
could this just be post - viral and taking a while to put weight back on? Or should I go back to gp again? Or am I being too hasty in expecting her to be tanking some weight back on. Any reassurance very welcome.

Kids don't gain weight as quickly as adults can. We recently saw a paediatrician about DS height and weight, all was fine but he emphasised that I should only really be measuring every 6 months, since there could be fluctuations in between, and also to stop me worrying about it.

So Im not sure GP would be too worried since she was ill so recently. It just takes time to build it back up. If she continued to lose it, or stayed the same for a few months then I'd ask for more investigations.

Kindly you need to stop weighing her so much

Yes I agree, I do need to stop weighing her as really don’t want to pass on any worry to her.
