why haven't you been to a GP?!
no one here will know for sure, he needs to see a medic

Most rashes are non specific, linked to viruses.

You could look here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/rashes-babies-and-children/
to see if anything sounds similar in presentation.

Or you could call 111/GP or talk to a pharmacist.

I think shingles.

Plz take him doctor x

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 14/10/2024 17:21

Doesn't look like shingles. Why haven't you had him seen?

Musicaltheatremum · 14/10/2024 17:22

Definitely not shingles as it's too widespread and bilateral. Would need to see it in the flesh to make definite diagnosis

MeMyCatsAndI · 14/10/2024 17:25

Why an earth haven't you taken him to the gp?

It could be viral, could be allergic reaction, could be bites, could literally be anything.

Definitely needs a doctor or pharmacist to diagnose but I wonder if it could be this:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pityriasis-rosea/

DH had it a few years ago

Doctor confirmed this is what it is.

to all the other comments who asked if I had it checked, I did! I took him to the pharmacy, who gave antihistamines but it didn’t clear up! So I was just asking if anybody knew what it could be.

Oh glad you got a diagnosis for your DS, OP. It will take a quite a while to go away fully though I'm afraid.
