Brain MRI

Has anyone’s child had to face a brain MRI? My little one is 6 and I’m worried he won’t lay still enough. They didn’t mention sedation.

Hi everybody. Thank you so much for your support. He has blocked sinuses but did have croup just before the MRI so consultant said it could be that. He’s been very unhappy about school so she said it could also be all because of anxiety. I’m so relieved. Thank you for all being so kind and helpful.x

Sorry to hear about your child, but just wanted to mention that I had a brain MRI the other day. It only took 15 minutes (they always say it will be longer), and they had a new device where there was a mirror inside the head guard and it reflected a TV screen! It was awesome watching calming Japanese landscapes. I’m sure they could put cartoons on it though! Maybe ask if they have one of these available? This was in Leeds.
