Baby reflux help

Hi,
HELP PLEASE
My little one is 7 months old and has had really bad reflux since birth. The last two months it’s so bad he throws up 5-10 times an hour and it’s always at least half of his feed. We’ve tried what feels like everything. We have been to the GP so many times and have a hospital appointment at the end of the month but it feels like forever away. We’re at the point we can’t even leave the house he throws up so much; 3 outfit changes for both of us every hour, cuddles and naps cut short because he throws up, toys get covered in sick, can’t go to baby classes because he just throws up everywhere and no one else will look after him. I’m worried it’s impacting his development becuase he gets less tummy time becuase he throws up and I need to flip him out of the puddle of his sick to clean him up.
We've tried:

  • smaller more frequently feeding
  • omeprezole
  • baby gaviscon
  • milk thickener like rice and caramel
  • feeding upright
  • calm time after feeding
  • Allergy tested
I feel so helpless and am struggling. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone made it out the other side?

My daughter has had severe reflux from birth, she is now 4. Hers is controlled by omperazole, it has to be 3mg/kg or as close to this as can be prescribed. Gaviscon and domperidone. She also has food allergies which are in addition to her reflux but they do make reflux worse. When you say food allergies have been ruled out what do you mean? My daughter has delayed food allergies which don't show up on tests so the only way they were identified was by carefully removing the food and then introducing to see if symptoms returned. She has 20 and it took until 15 months to find them all.

He has a CMPA and has special milk prescription which remedied other heath issues he’s had. He’s started on proper food under a dietician and was promised that solid food would help settle the reflux but it’s as bad as ever only now instead of just milk sick it’s got chunks of food in it which can’t just be wiped away. He’s on 6 gaviscon a day and 5.5 omperazol prescribed. He’s just so little and I’m giving him all this medication and special milk which don’t seem to make a difference.

That omperazole dose might be on the low side, our GP kept my daughter on a low dose that didn't help but then saw a paediatrician who put her up to 3mg/kg until she reached the top 20mg at 6 months but it wasn't until we added domperidone that we got it fully under control. Weaning made no difference for us either. She peaked at 9gaviscons a day but she now only has 2 sachets in her oat milk before bed.
What formula is he on? My daughter needs an amino acid one as she needs completely dairy free not an extensively hydrolysed one. She also has a coconut allergy so could only have alfamino as all the others have coconut in.

It's difficult to medicate a child but my daughter has no quality of life when her reflux is not controlled. She didn't smile or turn to sounds until 17 weeks and that was after we went on high dose meds. Last summer she had a bad relapse and it caused a cavity in one of her teeth. She went back to waking every 40 minutes overnight and only sleeping in my arms which was brutal. She also complained daily and often multiple times a day of stomach ache because of the reflux
