My 14 month old started wrist twirling, help

Hi all,
He is on all milestones so far, very social, making great eye contact, pointing to everyone and everybody and interactive.

However, I noticed for a few days he is twirling his wrist, usually on 1 arm only. It can happen few times per day and it last 3-5 seconds after he stops and do something else.

I am scared because I read it can be first sign of developmental issues.
Please let me know how is your experience and did anyone had this since I never saw other babies doing it?

thanks

My babies both did it, just looking at their hands. With a lovely expression on their faces "wow, I have hands! Look at my fingers!". They did it for about a month. Maybe around 6mo. Never occurred to me to find it anything but adorable.

How old is yours?

This on it's own wouldn't concern me at all tbh

i know it is normal for 6 month old, but what it concerns me that mine started doing it at 13 months, and was not doing it ever before :(

At 14 months my DS (who has low functioning autism, diagnosed at 28 months)-

  1. Didn't point
  2. Didn't turn to their name
  3. No babbling really
  4. Sideways looking (looked at things out of the corner of his eyes)
  5. The highest pitch scream (went on until he was 3) ever
  6. Very fast head shaking and pressing into the carpets (must have been a sensory need).

Later on tiptoe walking (still does it with every step as a young adult now).

Try not to worry.
