To go to ae or not for her foot?

Hi all

My DD (11) with autism knocked over a very heavy bench on her foot. She didn’t seem bothered at the time, despite a bit of bruising and managed to play all day at hobbledown completely unbothered. Weve woken up this morning and her bruise is massive but again she still seems able to use it fine (no limping or complaints). Not sure if we should still have it seen to with the bruising? Would have to tow my 1 year old along

Is there not a walk in centre or minor injuries near you that you could go to instead?

Bad bruise. If she's using it ok though, I don't think I'd bother.

No- I think there is only George’s near us (we are sw london) and it’s always a few hours wait (even when I nearly died from sepsis!)

With that history and that bruise I think it does need an XR. I know that some children with autism may hide pain or show pain differently so how she shows pain may not be an accurate reflection of what is actually going on (you know your daughter best, of course).

Not broken- thanks all! We got in and out and seen right away.

Was going to say paediatric a&e at both George's and King's is always really quick - they're very efficient
