My daughter had a smaller version of this back I. Jan and after a 10 hour a&e stint and full bloods they couldn’t figure out the exact cause and as she had cold symptoms and fever they thought likely a viral rash.

she’s recently been poorly and it came back a little bit, now a few days later it’s back and worse than ever. No temp, doesn’t fade when touched and is well in herself.

it’s very hot today but doesn’t look like any heat rash I’ve seen …

Go back to A&E, @bebski. My DS used to get these ALL the time when he was little and advice was to go and get checked out with blood test for FBC. He was monitored and as soon as results came back from the blood test, we could go home. We had about 5 or 6 hospital admissions because of these petechial rashes but a cause was never found. He did grow out of them (he’s 11 now), but it was scary at the time as the medics would throw around scary diagnoses, but luckily it never was what they thought it was (if you get my drift).

I hope your DD is ok but I would def want her checked over to be on the safe side.

Can you Google petechial rash and see if it looks like that?

I mean the photos are terrible I'm sorry. Is it a petechial rash, like red pinpricks? Does it blanch when pressed? If yes, in the absence of other symptoms it's not an A&E job.

If a different type of rash, could you try to get a better photo?

With no other symptoms I wouldn’t worry. Some kids get rashes frequently can be heat, allergy but without any other symptoms it’s very unlikely to be something serious.
