Should I be worried? Petechiae blood spots on my 3 year old

My son is 3, 2 days he woke up with tiny blood spots on the back of neck/shoulder, earlier is that day he had a tantrum and cried for about 10 minutes so I thought maybe it was due to that, yesterday he woke up with more on the back of his neck but the shoulder ones have almost gone and today he's woke up with 1 single 1 under his eye although all the ones on his neck and shoulder have cleared.

He doesn't have any random bruises or anything but he does seem more tired than usual, even after a full night sleep, not sure if this is due to the heat though, yesterday he also woke up with a runny nose. He is eating and drinking.

I am quite the worrier and my partner (his dad) is saying I'm just scaring myself and to stay off the internet. 2 days I've called for an app at my doctors but can't get one, if anything I'm going to take him to the walk-in later when his dad gets home.
What do you guys think?

Hi OP, yes I would trust your gut. My DC used to get unexplainable petechial rashes and I was advised to get them checked whenever one appeared. My DC would have a blood test but nothing ever showed up - I think it was "just one of those things" (I hate that phrase!). You say he is unwell with a runny nose - it could be viral but I would want him checked over by a GP. If you can't get him in to see a GP then I would not hesitate to take him in to a walk-in clinic / ED. I hope he is better soon and it is nothing to worry about.

Hi , mum of 5 teens . My kids regularly got these . Some I think were just spider naevi , some were little mini pinprick bruises from exertion .

I would not be going to doc unless I was really worried .
It sounds like he is tired / heat affecting him. If more kept appearing and he developed other symptoms I would then bring him .

Thank you I did take him to the walk in centre who then referred me to a&e. They have advised he's well within himself but if anore show up or any signs on high temp then go straight back up x

Well done @Followthestarsxoxo - always listen to your instincts. Many a time (I think at least 5!) my DS was referred to ED following an OOH GP appointment because of petechial rashes. I hope your DC is on the mend soon x
