My DD is 11 she had D&V a few days ago it stopped 4 days ago and hasnt had a poo since (I didnt expect her to). Since coming home from school she is back and froth to try and go has really bad cramping pains and is trying to force herself to go but she says it feels stuck. My husband is gone to get something from the pharmacy for her. I have just given her some paracetamol and a hot water bottle. She is a bit pale again today too.

Is there any tips on how to help with this

Look up Fibogel and Senokot - both available from supermarkets. Eat bananas, lots of water, prune juice. When she's trying to poo, get her to try standing up and moving her hips side to side while squeezing out the poo.
Sounds odd but I have constipation and hard stools recently but the standing and moving about helps it. Her bottom may be sore after she finally poos tho but she needs to pass the hard bits through.

Apple juice usually works to help mine go, one of mine had movicol prescribed by out of hours gp once when they were similar, hope your dd feels better soon x

If your DH has gone to the pharmacy they will give her the best thing for it but in the mean time drinking tepid water can help. When she is sitting on the toilet tell her to put her feet up on an upturned bin or similar, if she is bendable enough having her feet right up on the toilet seat is even better.

Thank you I hope they will be able to help. we have tried the upside down bin but she complains and cry it hurts her bottom. I'll make her drink loads of water. Its the pain comes in waves its horrible. Would a bath help instead of a hot water bottle
