Hi. My daughter who is 14 has very bad short sightedness which is progressively getting worse each time we visit the opticians. We have been offered a trial of new myopic reducing contact lenses and wanted to see if anyone else had experience of these and any success stories of anyone whose vision has not deteriorated since wearing them!
Tried to google reviews but it's such a new product only been around a few years it's hard to find any reviews.
Many thanks!

Hi all, my 4 year old daughter was diagnosed last summer as moderately myopic -3 in right eye with astigmatism and -2.5 in left no astigmatism. This Feb just gone (8 months later) right eye same and left eye -3 with astigmatism. Myopia management was mentioned at the first appointment with a “wait and see” approach but nothing at second (different ophthalmologist). Her dad took her and he was given a new script. Went to opticians and they suggested myopia lenses as they had the previous script that mentioned management. Between lenses and frames cost €480, got a reduction for under 12 frames so paid €430. Will collect in a few weeks, here’s hoping it works.

I have been using the miyosmart glasses on both my kids as we have high myopia in the family and they started needed glasses quite early, around 5-6yo.
DD 12 is now moving on to contact lenses.

It is not a new technology, it has been used in France for 10y+, just not that well known in the UK (and more expensive, sadly).
