Vitamin D deficiency

My 12yr old daughter had been complaining constantly of sore bones, tiredness, nausea ect for a good few weeks, to the point she was unable to walk as it was to painful, after beginning the G.P they took bloods and we were informed her vitamin d levels were at 15😳 she was prescribed a loading dose of 10,000Iu for 8 weeks , we are almost finished them with no improvement at all, contacted the g.p to have bloods repeated and they said the labs wouldn't accept a second request within the year , and will prescribe a maintenance dose until she stops growing, how can they tell how much maintenance she needs without checking first? How would they know if her levels have came up? I'm hitting a brick wall as they dont seem to be bothered that my child can barely walk some days, has anyone any advice on what to do next? Or been through this?

Google the guidelines for your area and take them back to the GP.
Nottinghamshire, for example, say if symptomatic they should be referred to secondary care, but that if no referral needed after treatment they should recheck vitamin D.

As an adult I have definitely had my Vit D ad tested at least twice in one year more than once,

That sounds worrying. I'd seek a second opinion.
