Is this a temp?

Hi all, firstly I just want to say I hugely suffer with health anxiety so this may seem ridiculous to some.

My little girl is 13 weeks and we've all had a bad cold for the past week. She's a little snuffly and since 4pm she's been a little warm to the touch - if I wasn't so anxious and on the ball I probably wouldn't have noticed. I've done her temp about 50 times and it rates from 36.9 - 37.6. I'm panicking that I'm going tobmiss something and am considering taking her to A&E. My partner knows what I'm like and is trying to make me rationalise but I'm struggling. Is this a normal temp for her age or not? She is my 4th but my anxiety makes me feel like I'm a first time mum all over again!

For reference she is feeding fine. Laughing and smiling and lots of wet nappies.

Oh OP health anxiety is just so awful.

If she is alert in herself and just snotty with a temp (I would consider this a mild temp) then I would just keep an eye on her

I can't remember if you can give calpol at that age but i would give her some to help get it down

Great you're keeping an eye on her but it sounds like just a rotten virus to me

The NHS say a high temp in a baby is 38. I wouldn’t take a healthy baby to A&E surely the idea of unnecessarily exposing her to all the germs there will make you feel worse?

Yes you are completely right. I am just terrified of missing something thanks to my HA.

She's more likely to catch something in A & E.

Your baby's temperature is normal. You don't need to keep taking it.

The temperature is normal. She is well.

You need to seek help for your health anxiety before your child ends up having unnecessary and painful treatments for your reassurance..
