My DD came home from nursery yesterday her usual happy self, went down to bed ok, thought her tummy looked a little bloated, woke up projectile vomiting, cleaned her up and calmed her down and settled her, about an hour after she was really sick again, finally settled her around 10.30pm and she slept the rest of the night. She's been off her food all day, only nibbled a few bits and had some milk and water, wet nappies. In good spirits this evening and went to sleep fine, but has again just woken up and been sick all over the cot, has anyone else had it where they seem to only vomit at night? She's not got a bad cough, or temp, so assuming bug, just off that it's not been in the day

Hello! I'm currently having this strange issue with my son. Hes 9 months old but has been having random sick episodes 😫So last Friday he was sick all over in his pram. He was off his milk and food the week before. Now for 2 nights on the trot he's projectile vomiting! He hasn't been eating much a few picky things here and there. Finally taking his milk again thankfully. But I really dont know what it could be 😔

Were on a trial with a dairy free diet atm because we finally had our dietician appointment, hes had this constant rash on his face which she says sounds like issue with dairy. He will not take the dairy free formula whatsoever!

Hes also fine in the day, taking bottles, off his food but hes perfectly happy in himself

@Maymin have you considered trying goats milk instead??

Never thought of that! My dietician sent out neocate and even when mixed with his regular milk he refuses it and gags. Do you have experience with it?

We all had Norovirus before Christmas and from day 2-3 onwards (lasted 7 days for my daughter but 24 hours for the rest of us) my 12 month old was only sick at night, completely fine in the day! I can only assume it's something to do with lying flat?

Oh bless you, my DD was put on neocate at 8 weeks, I was combi feeding and went dairy free myself, we were told to cut out soya too, with the neocate I had to introduce it mixing with breastmilk, how long has he been on neocate? Worth asking the doctor if there is another they can prescribe, but neocate is completely free of cows milk protein and soya, so if dairy intolerant it should in theory work, there is a cmpa support group on FB with lots of advice

Yes, I did wonder actually if like reflux laying flat could cause issues

when I worked in paediatrics some babies were fed on that if they didnt like formula (this was many years ago)

@Maymin on neocates website it said that you can mix with normal formula to gradually get them used to it, 75% normal formula to start with and 25% neocate and gradually increase the neocate. Also some on the group I was on used to add sugar free vanilla extract to make it taste better
