DD's painful spot

Hi I'm really anxious about posting this as I know I'm likely going to be reported as some weirdo or troll hunted but I don't want to waste a GP's time or even a practice nurse as it may be nothing to be concerned about. I just need some opinions please?
DD (just turned 9) has a small, not very angry looking but a tiny bit red 'pimple' right next to her nipple. She says it hurts when anything touches it. She hasn't 'blossomed' yet or had any other signs of puberty. I know some girls can start at this age these days but no sign of anything at all with DD yet.
Obviously if it was just the slight pain with nothing visible, I'd put it down to her body's preparation for all of its changes ahead etc. But there's a very definite little pimple right next her nipple and it's the location of it that's causing me the concern. Of course if it was on her face, it would be different!

I'm probably being paranoid. I figured I'd ask though, to be on the safe side.

Thanks

Probably unusual for kids (softer hair), but it is an ingrown hair?
Or insect bite?

Blossomed? 🤨

Hohofortherobbers · 22/02/2024 14:57

Has it always been there? May be a 3rd nipple like Scaramanga?

I'd just keep an eye on it. You can get pimples anywhere on the body

It might be a little cyst. So many glands there! And 9 is a perfectly possible age for them to be kicking into gear. Never ever feel worried about getting anything checked out. Likelihood is they will leave it and monitor but if it's showing signs of infection and causing discomfort, it may be there's a topical solution for it 😊
