Is there anything doctors can do to diagnose an allergy?
I think my daughter may have an allergy to something I’m not sure if it’s banana but the spots she’s got I can’t find anything on google that’s like them.
It started in June 2023 she had a bit of infected eczema on the crease of her arm we got that treat straight away with antibiotic cream then a few days after spots ended up popping up on her body and getting bigger and bigger and then scaring her none off the doctors know what it was just kept giving her antibiotic different creams etc. She was seen by the dermatologist in October 2023 she said that from the pictures it just looked like impetigo caused from the infected eczema (she had to go of photos because they’d all gone by this point).
Anyways since then she gets these spots still coming up on her body very randomly they don’t get big like they was before but some of them are still leaving marks they’re not itchy either. She mainly gets them on her tummy chest and back back in June when her skin was bad she had them on her arms but none since then only on her tummy chest and back. None on her legs, feet or face 🤷🏼‍♀️.
The reason I mentioned banana is because she doesn’t like them and when the spots first popped up she was trying a bit of my banana every day (she gets fomo😂) then they came up then I stoped buying them then her spots went coincidence or not I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️
What does it look like from this pictures???. I rang doctors today and after waiting 45 minutes they was no appointments left so going to ring on Monday.

It's very hard to make much of pictures of rashes on the internet unfortunately? Apart from the association with banana on one occasion, any particular reason you think it's an allergy? Does she tolerate a wide range of foods? Was banana fine before / since?

@Unseenentity I just think it’s an allergy of some sort is because I can’t think of any thing else of what they could be. Forgot to say she’s 3 in April. She’s fine with every other food and will eat everything really apart from bananas. She didn’t really eat them before June then it was just for about a week she was trying some every day then she started getting these spots then now every time she has something with banana in a new spot is coming up but I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence

Hi,
I know this is a post from earlier in the year but I’m just wondering if you are any further on with finding out the reason for your daughter’s spots?
My daughters are exactly the same, literally identical. I’ve been looking online to find similar for so long - but the only things that I can relate to are the post you’ve put up regarding your daughter.
My daughter started having these in May ‘23, we took her to the doctor then and she wasn’t concerned. She said they didn’t look sinister and prescribed some cream to put on them… it didn’t do much to be honest. She seems to have flare ups every few months where she gets a bunch in one area… then in between these flare ups she’ll get one or two popping up here and there. I did take her to the GP again in Dec ‘23 but I had the same response as the previous time.

I’m now starting to think they’re due to an allergy also but I can’t figure out what it is. She did have CMPA as a baby but we did the milk ladder and it cleared by the time she was 1 (she’s 2.5 now for reference)

Thanks in advance,
Jen x
