Neutropenia and MMR jab any advise?

Hello, so my 16m little boy has quite severe Autoimmune Neutropenia. He didn’t have his 12m vaccines at the time as we were told to hold off. But we then decided together it would be good if we could split the 4 jabs up 2 + 2. So he had 2 of them a few weeks ago - the none live ones. He did get poorly as we expected and needed hospital treatment, he also suffered with temporary loss of feeling in both legs and couldn’t walk (quite scary)
But we did know before hand he might get worse side affects due to his condition so we’re as prepared as can be! This week he’s due to have the MMR and this is the one im feeling really sick over as it’s live and they have said this is the one he really might not react well to.

Obviously we have made the decision to have it when outweighing the risks of him ever getting Measles/mumps. But i just can’t help worry and think i’m doing the wrong thing, knowing full well we will probably end up in hospital after the jab 😞 it’s an awful situation to be in.
As far as we know Neutropenia is not very common? So i don’t really have anyone to chat to about this and what others have experienced if their litttle one has had the jab?

I just want to be as prepared as i can (which i know is probably silly because no one has a crystal ball!)

It's hard, have you tried the Facebook support groups or asked the consultant? I'm an adult with autoimmune neutropenia which is helpfully even more rare
I've had pneumonia, flu and covid vaccines with no issues but I don't think any of those are live

Personally I was told not to have any live vaccines and given most grow out of AIN, I would maybe look at doing it later

Oh interesting! Yes we were told they do hope most grow out of it in a few years - so i never actually thought of holding off until then (in hope he does) So our consultant said she understood our concerns with it and asked us if we felt better breaking them up - to which we said yes. And i sort of just left it at that, but might be worth getting back in touch now about this weeks. It’s just a really hard thing with jabs, i want to do the right thing but i suppose we never really know what that is!

No i had not looked at facebook groups i’m going to do that now thank you :)
