Does this look like impetigo?

Ds has been ill last week with a cold type virus. Mostly high temperature and lethargic, but also a cough and some sneezing. He was seen by the doctor mid-week who said it was a winter virus.

He has now come out in a very neat line of spots tracing round his nostrils. He has needed nose blowing more than usual, but not as much as with an average cold. Not sure what to do now as it is a Sunday, so the only place we could go to is a chemist. Does this look like impetigo and if so, can I get something over the counter for that? I can of course call the doctors tomorrow too, just we are supposed to be seeing friends today, so would rather full disclosure if there is a chance of him being contagious.

Just to add, he has one spot on his cheek and nothing else on his face.

It could be impetigo but I'd check their hands and feet too for similar spots.Could be hand foot and mouth.Could also just be irritated from rubbing/ blowing their nose.Impetigo can scab/ scale quite quickly.Check their torso too particularly around waist area in case of chicken pox or shingles. At the moment hard to tell from photos.I'm a paediatric nurse btw, Mother of 3

@Ihavesomeideas perfect user name for answering questions! No spots on hands, feet or torso. He has had chicken pox before, so I would hope it isn't that again. I think the spots were different. He has never had a rash from blowing his nose before.

Could be impetigo but the way its in a line might mean dermatitis from tissues etc? Did they look like tiny blisters? I'd tell your friends it might be impetigo +that you don't know
