My 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis back in 2020, she hasn't had any active flares for 3 years but she is still in constant pain, she wakes up stiff and sore and nearly always has pains in her legs and knees and sometimes hips. She's currently having issues with the bottom of her foot and we've changed shoes and bought insoles for extra support. We see rheumatology every 4 months but they seem to think she's just sensitive to pain. GPs seem to point us back to rheumatology and rheumatology don't seem that interested. Is there anything I can do to help relieve some of this pain or can anyone recommend different shoes to support her? It's really affecting her mental health and I will be taking her back to the GP as soon as she is given an appointment and I will mention all this to rheumatology again when we see them. She takes regular ibuprofen as rheumatology have suggested.
Thanks.
