So took my son to the doctors as he had "the signs and rash" just to get the all clear so that he could go to school to get the bombshell that he has in fact got the measles. Had the whole health England contact/orders and following all guidance (even doing P.E with Joe and full home schooling), touch wood so far it seems quite mild compared to the horrors I am reasdng, however the rash is not fading any tips to make him more comfortable, warm baths slightly helping along with rest and cuddles, but does anything ease the rash? Any tips from anyone going through it or out the other side. Fully immunised 5 year old boy who likes to defeat the statistics ( had covid 6 times)

DKerry as measles is a notifiable illness the public health team will be able to advise you on work. My DH was able to work from home as part of the HPTs protocols to reduce transmission. His work did not want to take the risk of sharing that virus.
I had already stopped working as DD was in and out of hospitals so often.

Sorry, to be clear we are keeping him 10 days off school, it was agreed to make sure I also dont ant him to pick up any bugs straight after so we want longer, and won't send him back till fully well. For him and other kids. So not forced, and me and hubby both have brilliant employers, my job can't be done from home but I can do some admin bits but my employer is very supportive and would prefer me off this week.

The official advice was that son had to stay off me and hubby were free to roam but be careful around any vulnerable, pregnant etc.. to take any risk away we are isolating this week as well as a triple barrier as we are able to.

Other than pink eyes, irratiable and the rash he is pretty well so think we've had a lucky run (fingers crossed)

Hopefully you can all be safely onto the jelly and ice cream stage of being unwell. I wonder if having covid six times has contributed to the immune dysfunction that led to catching measles when vaccinated.
He's certainly had a rough few years.

He had Covid six times? Wow, then he will have a very weak immune system for quite a while. Poor, poor little boy. Sending get well wishes.

Some folks (Germany, Switzerland) in the olden days swore by 1 tea spoon of salt in 1/4 lire of lukewarm water and wash the child down with that. This is still being recommended online.https://www.zentrum-der-gesundheit.de/bibliothek/ratgeber/hausmittel/hausmittel-fuer-kinder

Sorry to hear this D. Presume he picked it up at school, so must be others down with it too. What region of UK may I ask?

Did I get that right he has had the MMR and still got measles? When was that vaccination completed, and how long before first known SARS CoV-2 infection?

Sounds like you have done all you can. Given the date of your post I expect it has cleared by now. Hope he is feeling much better.
