Craniosynostosis or am I over worrying?

my baby is 3 months old and I’ve noticed the back of her head is quite prominent! I can feel the soft spot clearly on her head but can’t feel a ridge for the middle of her head. But I can’t remember what my other children’s heads were like!
She never sleeps on her back and naps in the baby carrier so her head is never
given an opportunity to “flatten”, the only time she is laid down is when I let her play in her play gym but she won’t tolerate it for long, she loves being held or being upright having a nosy round or being on her tummy!

It does look a little unusual, worth a trip to the GP, although babies heads can be very wacky shapes for a while!

If she doesn't sleep on her back, how does she sleep? Surely not on her tummy? That's not safe sleep at all.

Not just me then. I was worried to read that bit. (To comment on head shape from one photo is very tricky, might help to see one from above)

Oh sorry I mean she doesn’t sleep on the back of her head!! She sleeps on her back but always turns her head to face me 🙈

At her 6-8 week physical exam (which took place at 9 weeks) the gp did notice she had a flat spot on her right side of her head because she sleeps facing me, I don’t know if this would be responsible for the back of her head though? I’m trying to get an appointment at an osteopath asap for a professional opinion.

Okay, please note cannot say for sure as you really need to feel a head/suture lines. But the photos are not in themselves looking worrying to me.

@nocoolnamesleft thank you - I’ve managed to get an appointment with an osteopath for her, so if it’s not craniosynostosis I can hopefully have some guidance on evening her head out a bit 😊
