Would you take DD to urgent care this morning?

Morning all.
Need advice. My 15 Yr old daughter has been over the past week developed lumps in her lower scalp and on one side of her neck. She developed another lump yesterday. She was examined Friday by nurse who said because she had no other presenting symptoms such as temperature, sore throat etc that she wasn't concerned but to go back Monday if situation got worse.
Only during a discussion with her yesterday she also mentioned about the night sweats she's been experiencing (hence wearing summer pjs to bed lately), chest pains on and off which I put down to panic attacks or anxiety as she was doing her mocks and itchy scalp which she was convinced was lice but examined multiple times nothing there.
I'm well aware what this 'could' indicate...do I wait till tomorrow to go back to docs or take her to urgent care this morning? WWYD?

frecklejuice · 17/12/2023 07:00

I would take her this morning op, good luck x

Inyourwildestdreams · 17/12/2023 07:03

I would take her this morning too. I hope it’s something minor @Lostboysbiggestfan

Please let us know how she gets on!

Ohdearwhatnow4 · 17/12/2023 07:55

Agree with everyone else, she needs to go , sooner you go sooner you can have a consultation and then a plan of action can be made if needed, or back home. Just say to dd were going to pop up and get you checked.

@Lostboysbiggestfan - I have been thinking about your DD today. Did you get her seen?

boobies1234 · 17/12/2023 20:33

If your thinking what I think your thinking, GP would be best. She will need a blood test to start and urgent care don't normally do those (here anyway) hopefully it's not too serious.
Dd1 had lumps in her neck, took ages to go but was viral

Poppsidoppsi · 18/12/2023 07:26

I’m hoping you have some answers @BoilingHotand50something - how very worrying for you. Fingers crossed it’s nothing xx

Backinthedress · 18/12/2023 07:28

Did you go?

givemeanother · 18/12/2023 07:44

My son had a large lump in his neck on his lymph node. Response of the doctor was that because he didn't have a sore throat/other symptoms it was potentially more serious. They referred him straight away for blood tests and started on precautionary antibiotics. All turned out to be fine - his bloods showed he was fighting an infection that wasn't showing up with usual symptoms, and the lump went away.

Definitely best to get checked out quickly.

Riverstep · 18/12/2023 07:47

I would say gp appt. Your dc may well need investigations ongoing and more than one appt. The gp is best placed to do this. Not an out of hours service.

Poppsidoppsi · 19/12/2023 16:01

How is your DD @Lostboysbiggestfan? X
