7 month old poop - how worried should I be?

I'll preface this by saying that it's the weekend and my GP is closed (I called at lunch) and we've gone away on a trip away from home so currently face going home or A&E and I'm not sure if I'm overreacting, under-reacting?

7 month old EBF baby has had 3 poop explosions in the past 2 days which look kind of curdled and is a either a bit pale or neon yellow. The smell is atrocious, it's like eggy sulphur. A few days ago the poop was green.

He has not had any solid food since 25 November because he was vomiting. We then went to Butlins and DP and I got some kind of stomach bug.

He has a runny nose but no temperature. Has been sleeping maybe a bit more than usual but otherwise is his normal self.

I've been googling and it looks like it might be the rota virus? In which case the advice seems to be to wait it out.

I don't want to to go wait in A&E for no reason but then I also don't want to miss something serious? Sorry it's my first baby and I feel a bit out of my depth, it doesn't help that we're away from home as well.

Are they well on themself? Normal behaviour, wakings, alert and bright? Drinking normal amounts? Regular wet nappies?

Yes he is as active and happy as ever, the only difference is he's napping a bit more in the day. Plenty of wet nappies.

Tummy bug or objecting to being somewhere new or in response to your "stress" from being ill.

Keep an eye on hydration, stick to breast milk for now.

My daughter has a sensitive tummy and her response to everything is diarrhoea. The night before we moved house she had 8 poos in 2h! Their guts are so sensitive to change.

Could have developed an allergy

I have had exactly this and my child is about the same age. He had it after a stomach bug and it was horrendous... Just keep up the milk feeds and hold off new foods. Do give bananas and dry toast. Also stewed apples are good. I wouldn't go to A&E unless he becomes lethargic, has a temperature you can't control or is vomiting a lot. Just lots of rest. It's so scary but it does pass. You're doing really well. Parenting is a roller-coaster for sure!

My DD (now 15) had this too. She made a bright neon green poop in her diaper. I think she was about 3 months old or so. I called the GP and she said it was from the breast feeding. Apparently she had too much of the "first milk" which is watery and sugary and not enough of the "hind milk" which is more fatty. I guess that really upset her tummy. But it didn't last long and it went away once she'd had a full feed.
