How to speed up chickenpox

Help please! We're going to Disneyland Paris in just over a week and our youngest suddenly developed a cold and what we thought were a few spots around his knees and face a few days ago. He doesn't seem to have any more spots, but it looks like he might have a few dots elsewhere on the body (although these are very faint, I definitely wouldn't have seen them without looking for them).
IF he does have chickenpox, is there any way to speed up the spots coming out? Any other remedies to help it would be fantastic, thank you!

Chicken pox is often on the torso, as well as everywhere else, numbers of spots to vary though. Is it behind the knees? If so it sounds more like eczema

Chicken pox does what chickenpox does I am afraid and it sticks to a pretty routine timeline. If itnis is chicken pox you will know as the spots will crust up. If it is just over a week before you go you should be fine as long as the rest of you have had it previously and aren't likely to catch it off him.

Once the spots have crusted over you are good to go.

Usually takes 5/6 days.

If flying you might need a fit to fly certificate from the gp or you can pay to get this online - about £40.

It's more likely hand foot and mouth

You can’t speed up anything things run their course.

If it’s chicken pox, keep them clean and dry. No dabbing in lotion or moisturiser. The spots heal faster when clean and dry and aired. You can bath in bicarbonate of soda two or three times a day to relieve itching. I’m a paeds nurse, I hope this helps
