Hi! Can I be registered with 2 NHS dentists? Or I can have only one? P.S. dentist for my child, not for me.

Why would you need to be registered with 2?

I don't know if there is a rule about it, but considering the chronic shortage of NHS dentists for all patients it's not exactly ethical to be taking up 2 spaces when your child only needs 1 space.

The son is registered with a dentist near home, but the dentist does not provide treatment. I was tired and found a doctor in another city who cured caries and said that it was by the NHS. I wondered how legal it is to be seen by 2 doctors: examinations near the house, and I would like to receive treatment from a second doctor. I understand how this sounds and would happily register with just a second doctor, but he is 2 hours away.

There is no registration for patients unless you are in Scotland or Northern Ireland. Here you would be taken off the original dentists list if you were seen elsewhere.
In England and Wales there is only an obligation to see you during a course of treatment. Once that has finished the dentist is not obliged to see you again.

Phone the other dentist and ask.
I think it's ok if you are getting different treatments and less ok if you were getting extra check ups say every 3 months alternating dentists.
Not sure for sure as I don't understand the NHS prior to dentist, are they similar to unicorns? 😆
