Newborn rapid breathing - normal variation?

My DD2 is 11 days now, eats well, at least 7 wet nappies per day, calm, gaining weight.
What concerns me is her rapid breathing, I've counted at least on 20 different occasions and it is nearly always 60/min, sometimes 63-67. She is exclusively breastfed and doesn't need breaks to breathe. Her temperature this morning was 36.5 C. No syanosis, no blue lips or blue tongue.

I've contacted midwife, she thinks this is fine as all other things so well. I also called A&E (live in Finland) twice, yesterday and the day before, they said it all sounds normal. All was well at the hospital when the pediatrician checked her lungs, pulse, reflexes, heart, etc before leaving the hospital after a smooth delivery. I just keep worrying, google results state that anything above 60 is concerning.

Has anyone else had "rapid breathers"? Could it be just a tendency, a sort of variation?

😥

If a midwife rang me about an 11 day old baby who persistently had a respiratory rate above 60, I'd at least want to examine them myself. If obs otherwise totally fine, and examined otherwise perfectly (respiratory and cardiac), and handled well, and fed well, then maybe I'd be happy to accept it was just a variation on normal. Has an actual doctor examined your baby since going home?

Hi OP, my little boy done this at 5 days old. It was a midwife who picked up on it and he was subsequently examined by another midwife who was happy with him. Same as your babe- wet nappies, feeding fine etc but my husband and I were a bit rattled and took him to hospital (we're in UK) 48 hrs later it was deemed his normal breathing 😆 we had to go through IV antibiotics every 8hrs until all tests were back clear for infection and virus. We were told all this was a precaution with him being so young at the time but none of the doctors seemed very worried with everything else being normal and oxygen levels were fine. I'm really glad we went in the end though as I dont think I'd have been able to relax. He done it for about 2 weeks altogether. He's 9 months old now and never done it again so hopefully that gives you some comfort

Thank you so much, helps to hear we're not alone.
Went back to hospital as a precaution, ecg was normal, oxygen saturation above 96, heart ultrasound revealed a tiny tiny hole between sth I cannot remember that tends to close in the coming weeks spontaneously? Blood tests clear, no infection, blood sugars fine. She breaths 49-60/minute now, quick spurts then slower then quick etc. I still keep an eye on her breathing though. A check up in 4 weeks time by a pediatrician, they will repeat the ultrasound then. Must not be anything very serious? Had there been a severe cardiac defect I guess that would have been detected?
