Dentists - do you trust yours? I'm in Hampshire and not sure I do...

I'm in Winchester. Dentistry doesn't seem to be a thing here. We moved here, then Covid happened, and then we tried to find a dentist - having not seen one for 2-3 years.

We tried every dentist in the city (probably 12 places) and only one was accepting new patients (private, not NHS). Every appointment bar one has run 20+ minutes late. They are now recommending extractions of baby teeth for my 11 year old - the adult teeth have come in but the baby teeth have kind of folded over instead of falling out. It will cost ÂŁ300 for 4. Which is OK, I guess, but...

They want to get the extractions done quickly, with a dentist we've never met, before that dentist moves on to a different practice. It doesn't feel OK. But I don't think I have much choice. What have other people done? Do you travel to your dentist? Has anyone recently registered with a dentist in Hampshire that they trust?
