I was rushing tea and didn’t realise the bread had gone mouldy until she’d polished off 2 slices ☹️☹️
am I to expect a night od
vomiting? Is mould dangerous to eat? I’m kicking myself
for not noticing ☹️

Probably won't have any effect tbh
How mouldy was it?

heldinadream · 11/09/2023 20:43

Probably nothing will happen OP, bread mould is unpleasant but really not dangerous or particularly toxic.

QuantumMottle · 11/09/2023 20:44

She'll be fine 🙂 mould is more of a tastes yuck sort of thing. Unlikely to cause vomiting like gone off/turning chicken for example.

Assuming she's a perfectly healthy 7 year old with a good immune system, nothing will happen. Even if she isn't, she would be very unlucky to be ill, given the bread obviously tasted well enough to eat! She'll be fine.

Oh thank you!
it wasn’t obviously mouldy- the top of it looked fine, but when I turned another slice over I saw it was all white / green spots and she’d
gobbled 2 happily 🤢feel so so stupid for not checking it. Must have gone off super fast in this hot weather ☹️
