First time post on here- Does anyone know what these could be? They’ve been coming and going for nearly 4 weeks now. Thought they chicken Pox to begin with as they started on her face. Now they’re all on her body but not of her face. They’ll go from one part of her body to another. I don’t they’re itching her as she’s been fine until the last two days she’s been so mardy and irritated. I’ve been to doctors and they’ve prescribed dermol cream but there seems to be more spots coming out. She is on milk allergy baby milk. I’ve got to also do a food diary and cut out all yoghurts/milk etc to see if it could be that. I’m not allowed to use any products in the bath- just the dermol cream/lotion.
ive attached some photos but there’s so much round her nappy area and back of her legs. Thanks!

The lower one looks like it could be slapped face or scarlet fever.
If the rash is raised like sandpaper then it could be scarlet fever.
If he's got red cheeks with a pale arfea round his mouth then it could be slapped face.

But I really would ask MNHQ to take that photo off, or at least crop it to only show the top. I know it's only from the back, but you can't control who is seeing it-or downloading it.

@MargaretThursday thanks, I've asked for it to be removed, I didn't even think Blush

No worries. I clicked on it to look closer at the spots, and only then thought about it. Easy enough done.

Is this a reply to my photos or the other persons? X

@Ellie0421

It was the other person's. I'm afraid, I can't guess on your dc's spots. Coming and going over 4 weeks takes the two things out (Chickenpox and moloscum) I would have said looking at the spots.

It could be a type of excema, but I wouldn't think so, viral rashes again I wouldn't expect to come and go, could be an allergy (she's not playing out in the garden is she-nettles?), but it's not obvious.

Only think I would wonder, totally unscientifically and non-medical is whether she's coming down with something, and her body has been trying to fight it off and is losing the battle now, hence her beginning to find them itchy and niggly.
That should mean though that although you might initially get more, then it might clear fairly shortly afterwards.
Keep an eye on her, maybe try avino oil in the bath (watch out it makes them and the bath very slippery) and keep an eye on her. Do give Calpol rather than ibroprofen for the time being on the outside chance it is chickenpox.

Oh I see thank you. We’ve got artificial Grass in our gardens. She is on allergy infant milk so I’ve stopped all dairy in case it could be that. But she’s still woke up with more spots again this morning but they’ve gone from her nappy area. I’ve swapped washing stuff to baby fairy, using water in the bath, I’ve even change nappies and wipes. I’ve thought of all sorts! I’ve been to the midwife today (pregnant again) and she’s told me to ring GP as she’s been irritated and crying for the last 3 days so there’s something clearly up with her. I did think teething as she’s got 2 teeth through but then I didn’t think they could get spots like this. I thought it was a reaction to her one year injections but this has started a couple of weeks before them. It’s a guessing game but I’m definitely getting her into the doctors again tomorrow x

@Ellie0421 do you mind if I ask what the outcome was when yr daughter was unwell - I hope she was ok? Just as I was googling as my son (4.5) has exactly this at the moment, spots appearing on his face, bum, and a couple have been on his arms - they look like chicken pox type spots initially (which he has had last year ) but 24 hrs later they have totally disappeared and new ones crop up! They don’t seem to be itchy… mysterious! Thank you
