My daughter ( 12 yrs old) suffers from very heavy periods, so went to Gp who did some blood test.
These are abnormal results and I do worry as I can’t find what that mean..
Her clotting screen is:
One stage prothrombin time 13.2 sec ( normal is 10.3-12.9) flagged as abnormal
Partial thromboplastin time activated 34.7 sec (normal is 26.7-35.7)
Also her Feritin is low (7) flagged as abnormal.
The rest of her FBC, Liver function, Thyroid, Calcium and albumin, urea and electrolytes - is normal
What does that mean?
The gp appointment is in 3 weeks, I only have the results from her Nhs app.
very worried.
