I have something on me at the moment. I am torn between a fabric/detergent allergy... or a sweat rash. Mine aggravated massively after going to the gym, wearing polyester, and in areas that had tight clothing.

I'm not (that sort of) a doctor, but mine reduced with a standard hydrocortisone cream. I actually bought a cream that was a combination of fungal and hydrocortisone and it was gone in a few days.

Lonelyandupset · 21/07/2023 07:21

Maybe hives. Hard to tell from the photos.

OohBettySpencer · 21/07/2023 07:22

Ringworm?

C1N1C · 21/07/2023 07:23

..although the fact that it's on his hands pretty much confirms it's an allergy or that he held/brushed against a nasty plant or chemical...

Birdsongsinging · 21/07/2023 07:24

I wondered about ring worm too.

Ostryga · 21/07/2023 07:24

Could be ringworm or granuloma annulare. Does it blanch under a glass? Has he got a temp at all?

cuckyplunt · 21/07/2023 07:25

I think that’s ringworm, it’s highly contagious.

Willmafrockfit · 21/07/2023 07:27

you have a doctors appointment which is good.

Mummyof3helpme · 21/07/2023 07:29

He's too young for hydrocortisone he's only 5, no temp nothing he's absolutely fine other than this rash

He shouldn't be too young for hydrocortisone OP, my.youngest(1) uses it for eczema flares on the odd occasion. Good luck at the gp

Mummyof3helpme · 21/07/2023 07:33

Unless he's just too young without a prescription then, thank you! ☺️

Looks like urticaria (hives). Can take it as a reaction to a virus, something that was touched. My daughter gets it when she exercises. Try an antihistamine, should clear it up if urticaria.

Mummyof3helpme · 21/07/2023 07:38

It's not raised or itchy it's under the skin

Sleepwhatsthazzz · 21/07/2023 07:39

Should say I also get it when change of temp (eg get into hot shower). Others never pinpoint a cause for theirs.

JussathoB · 21/07/2023 08:25

Could it be hand foot and mouth disease? I know that sounds awful but I think it’s just a childhood virus that passes. But do get checked with GP.

Mummyof3helpme · 21/07/2023 08:28

He's getting seen at 12 at doctors thank you everyone, hopefully it's just viral and no medication needed as he it totally fine in himself ☺️

I'd use canesten on it if I couldn't get to a pharmacist or gp appointment, as the ankle (?) looks like ringworm.

Gabby10 · 21/07/2023 08:31

This looks like what my DD has when she had a reaction to strawberries. She was given piriton to take a couple of times a day until clear- it did take a few days but it was all over her by the time the dr decided it was an allergy!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 21/07/2023 08:33

Looks like ringworm

WeWereInParis · 21/07/2023 08:49

My DD (14 months) had something similar a few weeks ago. It got worse for a few days (but never bothered her, wasn't itchy, and she had no other symptoms) and then it just went away.

Never found out what it was as the GP wouldn't see her, so I'd be interested to see what your Dr says it is.

My daughter had hydrocortisone from the GP from 4 months and was occasionally on Elecon by 5. She has severe allergic eczema.

If it's needed the GP will prescribe.

Can't tell what this is from the photos, sorry.
