I am too but honestly that wouldn't even phase me.

The only time I'd worry about a rash is if the kid was actively unwell.

Hi @Soccermomera I have many, many years experience with my DC and petechial rashes. If he is well in himself (so no fever, sickness, nausea etc) then it is likely he just scraped himself - possible a tackle that caught him on the leg. My DS is notorious at getting petechial rashes in weird and wonderful places! If he is fine in himself, do not worry and you will see it start to fade over the next couple of days. If he starts coming up with more non-blanching rashes, and is feeling poorly, you must take him to the GP / A&E for assessment.

IME though, it looks like something (?boot) has caught his leg and just left a bruise / the petechial spots - which are caused by bursting of veins under the skin. Try not to worry 🙂

My eldest gets pin prick rashes from any kind of pressure or strain eg on her neck and by her eyes if she coughs a lot or when she had screaming tantrums as a toddler.
She also gets them from pressure due to tight bag straps etc. It will just be from the impact as long as he's otherwise very well.
