Norovirus in infants

I think I have norovirus, I've been having violent d&v all day since the early hours. Tried to keep a distance but with my 5 month old being an exclusively breastfed bottle refuser I didn't have much choice at times. He's started being sick but he's being sick in his sleep. Quite big sicks shooting out with some force but he's not waking up. He keeps crying out in pain too but again not waking up.

I'm worried it's a choking hazard? I don't know what to do. Feeling lousy myself and want to stay awake to keep an eye on him but am so drained from being so unwell all day I don't think I'll be able to

You poor thing ☹️
i had this when my
son was 3
months old and honestly
felt
i was dying. Good point:
by
exclusively breastfeeding him, he’s getting your antibodies your body has already made against
the virus so he will be much less
affected. Main risk is dehydration and if he’s still feeding you don’t need to worry about that.
babies naturally turn their heads to be sick so try not to worry he’ll choke as that would only happen if stuck lying face up which at 5 months he won’t be.
rest
and sleep when he does and hopefully it will be shortlived. Sending huge hugs xx

Resurrecting this as I am in the same position with my 6 month DD. I have recovered luckily but I’m gutted I’ve passed it to her. I’m wondering how long this last for OP’s LO?
