Is this the start? My son had a sore throat this morning and has been sensitive this week emotionally. Which for him can mean illness is brewing.
Came back from sports day to this

Yep, looks like it

If it turns out to be cp please don't give ibuprofen- good luck hope he feels better soon whatever it is

Thanks everyone well so far no more. Except under his armpit there's weird pinprick marks that don't blanch. But he's not ill in himself. Will monitor closely tho

@Lcw29 non-blanching pin prick rashes should be checked by a GP / medic, ideally. I say this as my DS always had them and we were told to seek medical advice, especially if DS was poorly. Please call your GP for advice or 111

** I don't mean to worry you, OP. IME, we were always admitted to a children's ward for blood tests as the medics were concerned that DS had a blood clotting disorder / something serious as pin-prick rashes (petechial rashes) can be sinister (in our case, luckily they never were). He may have just had clothing rub on his skin but I would, for peace of mind, speak with your GP and explain he had a sore throat and wasn't 100% himself earlier this week, and has now come up with non-blanching spots and just see what they advise
