7 year old vomiting bile which is getting worse, help needed please?

My 7 year old son has complained of vomiting a yellow bile for a few weeks now ( no history of this when he was a baby and it has started very suddenly) I assumed he maybe wanted a day off school and as the teachers hadn't mentioned anything I didn't think it was anything to worry about. He was sent home twice in March/April with sickness and told he couldn't return for 48 hours due to it being a bug although once home he was fine in himself, eating and drinking and generally well and no further episodes of vomiting bile. Fast forward to this week and the teacher mentioned it had happened 4 times that week usually around the same time and it was yellow bile, no food present. She didn't seem concerned either. He then vomiting bile at home on Tuesday evening and I took him the doctors and opticians Wednesday morning because he had complained of a headache and dizziness. The nurse practitioner checked him over and said he seemed fine and prescribed gaviscon. She said its likely reflux and the opticians prescribed a small strength glasses but he advised I take him back to the doctor as he couldn't understand why no tests had been ordered for my son as he said they are only treating the symptoms and not the cause. Fast forward to tonight, he told me had vomited bile in school again and then it happened in drama class at 6.30pm. I'm at a loss. He seems fit and well, he's eating and drinking normally ( he has a brilliant appetite and varied diet) and he doesn't seem phased after it happens. I thought it may be anxiety related but hes assured us he is okay and isn't worried by anything, we are having a new baby in November so I'm thinking is it related to that? Could he be worrying that he may be pushed out? I just don't know anymore and I feel so guilty as I don't feel like I'm helping in any way. Should I take him back to the Doctor and tell them I'm not happy and demand tests? I feel like I'm overreacting as he seems so well and healthy other than vomiting small amounts of bile. Any help would be appreciated please x

I would definitely take him back to the doctor. It's odd he is vomiting just bile which suggests his tummy is empty. Does he eat regularly?
My dd had surgery on her abdomen as a baby and one complication we have to look out for as she grows is if she ever vomits bile. In her case it could mean a blockage. I'm not saying thats the case for your son as he obviously seems otherwise well, but it is also not normal so worth investigating further.

I would definitely go back to the doctors.

Definitely go back.
You don't say if this is a small amount or a larger amount. Anything that comes from nowhere and doesn't settle should be checked.
My ds1 started vomiting for a day a week when ds2 was born. We all assumed initially that it was about becoming a big brother, but it was coincidence. He ended up having a lot of food intolerances and it took a long time to get him on the right path. There had been signs beforehand, but we'd missed them. It's very easy to assume it is psychological, but do check for medical stuff too.
Has he had blood tests done? I wouldn't be leaving the surgery until they were agreed at the very least.

I agree with previous posters that they should be investigating this. You would expect reflux to be when his stomach has got food in, not when it’s empty.

That would be dark green bile. Think spinach soup with extra food colouring added!

Yellow vomit is stomach acid. It’s how everyone’s vomit would look on an empty stomach.

True bilious vomiting is very dark lime/pea green - unmistakable colour. True bilious vomiting is an emergency - it means there’s an obstruction beyond the Ampulla of Vater where the Common Bile Duct empties.
